Rare Parrots II: The kea.

The kea is considered the world's smartest parrot, despite not having developed the ability to speak of others as the yaco.
Lives in New Zealand in the mountains, and out of any comparison with other parrots.
They eat anything. In fact very long persecuted because they were attacked and injured sheep ate the carcass of the dead. Also attacked young of other birds.
In general need a diet high in fat to withstand the cold temperatures where they live.
Today they have become a tourist attraction and many people come to the mountains of New Zealand to see them. Despite its small size must be very careful with them because they shred everything that can not eat. It is hard to see them eating and rubber wipers of cars of unsuspecting tourists while they take pictures.
Moreover, as we saw in this post , have an amazing ability to solve problems, and their attitude suggest that for them everything is a continuous game.
To increase its rarity, the kea nest underground, putting up to four eggs.
It has now been possible to reproduce in captivity, with the sole condition that requires a large space to house them, and simulating the underground nests. It would therefore be impossible to attempt breeding cages.
To know more about the kea, you can see the video below. No need to understand (in English), just observe.
